I was wondering when a ticket goes on your record. Does the 3 years count from the day you received the ticket or from the date you get convicted (fighting it in court and found guilty)?

i would think its from the date the ticket is finalized and decided

so the day your payment is accepted, or the day the judge decides.

if you want an offical, no bs answer, contact your local court system and or dmv.

here in NYC it's 40 months since the date on the DMV record (i can't recall if it's date of judgment if found guilty, or date of summons).

i believe it is from the day your finalize it... also it stays on your record for 2 years with the cops and 3 years for the insurance company... and if you get a PBJ then u better not get a ticket within that year... cause u are so screwed!!!
