Has anyone bought plastics from ebay from one of those aftermarket companies in Hong Kong? My 07 was stolen but found and it had been spray painted black. So im looking to buy new plastics for it. Just wanted to hear any suggestions or comments about those Ebay companies. Thanks

I wonder if you can get that spray paint off? Anybody know for sure?

If not and the plastics aren't scratched up you may just want to have them custom painted. OEM fitment is always better.

If the spray paint is the only damage then I suggest you take it to a pro. They can remove the spray paint with some fine sand paper etc and then repaint it to your liking.

Stay away from aftermarket if at all cost.

yes you can get that spray paint off, thats what they make sandpaper for. If you are the shiz at rattle can painting you could do your own scheme. if you want A/M check out this section for some reviews on various A/M companies

Keep them

Yes I strongly agree with everyone else.. If they are just spray painted, KEEP the oem plastics and get them repainted the way you want. Save yourself the headache of dealing with one of the ridiculous aftermarket companies and their poor quality fairings. BUT hey if you decided to go with aftermarket fairings, I will take your oem plastics !

I bought a bike in the past that was completely spray painted black and I was able to remove it all. It was time consuming but I removed it with soft microfiber rags and nail polish remover. I tried some more advance removers on other parts and they ate the plastic. I say stay away from aftermarket fairings too. At first I thought they were good since the fitment wasn't bad but they fall apart and chip very very easy.
