Running light was already burned out, both headlights burned out one night just before I left the garage. Checked bulbs and of course they were burned. Bulbs are about two years old, checked all fuses and are good. It is kind of strange that both bulbs burned out at once. Question, before replacing what should I check that I've not already checked? Also is this common for bulbs to do this?

Here is what you need to check the bulbs are attached to a black prong
these prongs are none for falling apart and having shortages within that causes
the headlight to come on and off and flickers eventually causing the bulbs to blow up
check out this pic and the part i am talking about is # 6
its a dealer item that retails for 5.95

They look like they are in good shape, but I'll buy new ones to be safe as well as aftermarket bulbs. Anything else? Thanks again fellas!

make sure the aftermarket bulbs do not exceed 55 W higher power
bulbs is what causes the problems
