I decided to disassemble my bike to learn the ins and outs of it. Not a complete tear down but i did pull the motor with the wiring harness attatched. I left the exhaust and radiator attatched to the engine as well. Got the whole bike put back together and it fired right up. I turned it off after about 5 seconds. Since it was low on radiator fluid. However i did notice the engine light was on? I double checked and all the vacume lines and wires and everything is pluged in. Someone told me that since i disconected the wires from the secondary injectors, ecu, battery, headlights and recifier i might just need to take itto bonds and have them reset the light. Any thoughts?

Was the light on with the engine running?

Put the bike in neutral, kickstand down, and turn the bike on. What series of codes are flashes from the FI light?

The light with the pic of the engine was on when running. I will check the flash pattern if any when I get home.

This is an 09. When it is in neutral on the kickstand it just comes on with the normal power up then turns off. It will not come on again until i start it then it has two quick flashes multiple times. Do I need to count every set of flashes, every flash or just the two initial ones?

Well, of course it wont come on until you turn the engine on again.

MAP sensor malfunction. Lift the tank and remove the airbox. See if you forgot to install the MAP sensor again, if the hose came off, it's unplugged, etc.

Figured Map Sensor I prob forgot to hook it up I was to focused on everything else plus I threw a BCM in there while it was torn apart. Thanks for the heads up

Good to see you got it sorted,

Also, I find most often that the fault occurs with the skin and bone component of a machine rather than the machine itself! Failing that its the damn MAP sensor :)
