Im looking ot paint my headers what do you guys suggest I use? i know ive seen people use the engien paint on exhaust and it just flakes off. any sugesstions would help

dude have 'em ceramic coated it's much sturdier than VHT, they will sandblast the surfaces to provide better adhesion for the coating & bake them in an oven, the result is much sturdier, doesn't chip off unless you hit it intentionally with a hammer or scrape it off.

haha man i painted my header w/ those header paint. but let me tell ya man its no point unless you clean your headers every other day. mine was black but now it's just dirty. and its hard to clean it unless i take the fairing off but im too lazy for that.
but once in awhile i clean it and it's still black. i did like 5 or 6 layers of paint though.

I don't know of any paint that will stand the test of time on headers. If you were looking down the system a little further some high temp stuff might do it, but headers I don't think it'll last.

theres this type of paint at autozone. kinda expensive but it's made for headers. look for a can that say header paint

Yeah but I doubt it will last very long no matter what it says.

just go alot of layers. i did like 5 or 6 layers of it on my headers and they're still black..but they're dirty now.
