Exhaust temp?

I was talking to a friend last night that gave me an idea on to paint my stock muffler with some high heat enamel paint. But I couldn't give it a deft yes because I don't know how high the exhaust gets. I would only paint the muffler... I mean I searched high and low and no specs. So now im at the mercy of the court... I know this sounds weird but can anyone either point me in the right direction or tell me why it wont work. I would go with a flat black.

High temp paint would be fine ...

An even better solution is ceramicoat paint will scratch off the coat ... good luck

yeah as long as its high temp paint you will be fine painting the muffler

make sure you clean it really well to ensure than the two bond flawlessly! Through pics up afterwards!
