ive got a 09 600rr, i put a akra slip on last year and i just picked up a Bazzaz Z FI , Z-Bomb and K&N filter.
i was talking to the tuning shop a few min ago and they said tuning with a cat wont get you the best results (obviously) but thats something i didnt really think of when i got the slip on.
so, is there a way to delete the cat?
should i sell the slip on and buy a full akra?
i read that arrow makes headers that will mate up with my slip on, but is it worth it?
then there is the servo, i guess i should make sure that is removed before tuning as well.
i guess there is no way to buy a akra full exhaust without the can?

Akrapovič Full System

i guess there is no way to buy a akra full exhaust without the can?
I contacted the main UK Akrapovič importer/distributor last year about this and was informed that you can purchase the headers and downpipes separately as ‘spare parts’ to fit the slip-on exhaust but it actually works out much more expensive than buying a complete new full system. You are better of buying a full system and starting afresh and selling the slip-on soon after. Bottom line is that you can purchase all parts of the exhaust as spares (Source: Performance Parts Ltd UK) but you will pay a very large premium for it as the full systems are manufactured as complete sets only.

5hp difference.... not a crazy big deal, im more looking to make sure i get this thing running properly weather it be with the slip on or full system.
really as a street bike there is minimal chances of using even all the stock power it has that often.
one of the things the mechanic/tuner told me is that he has to put a tuning 02 sensor on bung on my exhaust, and it works better to be before the cat, i found a pic of a stock exhaust and looks like there is room for it between the servo and the cat, so as long as he can put it on before the cat there shouldn't be a issue.

what about that servo flapper inside the stock exhaust? should i remove it?
i havent been able to find a how to on removing it, and if i remove the flapper, should i remove the whole servo system and put in the resister harness to stop the engine light?

thanks for the info on the dyno comparison and the cost to buy the parts.

more parts came in so now ive got:
Bazzaz Z-Bomb
Bazzaz Z-FI
K&N filter

im ordering the block off plates, just waiting to see if my shop can get them or if i should just order online (i like to support this shop when i can, they had a big b&e this year and lot a lot of gear plus had to replace their front half of the shop from the van that drove through the door...)
i think im going to use my stock headers, but i want to do the servo mod, is there a link to a how to anywhere? i havent been able to find it. ide like to remove the whole servo motor if possible so i can put my alarm in there, and maybe just put the flap in the open position? is that possible?
im also grabbing one of the balistic batteries to free up more space under the seat for the alarm.. mine has the gps tracking built in.
