this was my first time but i didnt expect to **** up this bad

i was puttin my 2+ rear sprocket on

so im sliding the axel thru and its not going tho the brake caliper part so i go to pull it out to try again and i yank it too hard and the whole axel comes out, tire drops and bike falls over on its side off of the rear stand

got the bike up and now its sitting on the swingarm, cause i cant get it on the rear stand alone again. Friend is on his way to try to help me, neither of us have even taken a wheel off or put one on, so this will be fun, i dont even know it the chain will fit the + 2 sprocket.

and today is bike night WTF !%&% @!#) @#^( $(@^ &%^# $&@!!!!!!!!!!!

ouch man sorry to hear that. ive dropped mine two times, first wasnt bad, second time i fucked it up. broke my mirror off, big gash in mid farring, scraped cases, scrapped tail section a lil.... i was pissed. but it happens. just try not to make that mistake again. always gotta be cautious and try not to go to fast ya know.

are you gonna use the stock chain with a +2 rear and stock front ?

well im still sitting here waiting for my friend, and am so glad im not the only one who fucked this up. I went -1 with a new chain but the stock # of links. I dont know if the shop that did it took a link or 2 out of the chain or just adjusted it back. I'm hoping i can go +2 in the rear with this chain and just adjust it forward, but i dunno, i should have just taken it someone and paid the shop to do all this crap, I dont even know how to use the damn tourque wrench i bought

sorry to hear about that. were you using spools on your swingarm? i didn't know the bike could fall off a rear stand...I use spools and it feels pretty solid.

i have spools but not the attachment on the stand to accomodate that so i have those swingarm lip things, i sooo hope the chain fits and nothing got messed up

Hate to hear about the bike. I almost dropped mine by not having the kickstand down when taking it off stand. Luckily I saw it and stopped.

sry to hear that i did almost the same thing i was using the engin to lube my chain well of course u have to put the kickstand up. and ya u guessed it didn't put it back down droped the bike off the rear stand and as i leaned it over no kickstand smash.

hey cbrhooked...be careful! dont get impaitient, if thats what happened. just take ur time, you gotta place the rear brake and the two rings on each side of the wheel just right, so it goes through...and get a manual, and do some reading before doing anymore work...so u know what to do, not just to know either, for ur safety on the rode, wrong torque on wheel and nething can happen! 86lb/ft for that rear axle nut...just to help ya...holla...

I saw a kid do this at school today, brand new gsxr he looked about 18 he was walking his bike out of a parking spot and started talking to his buddy. Straight up turned around and walked away from his bike without putting the kickstand down... *crash* hahaha I laughed but felt bad about it. I ran over and helped him pick it up, it was pretty bad but he didnt have frame sliders or anything.
