I've never owned a GSXR, although I rode a friend's bike back in 1990. I liked how the old 750 felt although it seemed a bit top heavy and hard to menuever at low speeds. I've been riding motorcycles from 1982 until now, how about you? How many bikes have you owned? I have driven a few f4i's over the years and I know a few guys who work across the street from me at Honda headquarters. I get some of the inside info from time to time. After you jump from the RR on to the F4i you realize the differences. I personally do not like the way the F4i feels. Did you realize that you are in an RR forum? You shouldn't get so offended that someone would say they think it is crap. It is my opinion, you can love the F4i if you like...no worries. Buddy, I've owned many different bikes over the years and I don't really have a problem with those who ride gixxer bikes. As long as you wear your gear and don't drive like an idiot its fine with me. I don't care how long the F has been around, it doesn't make it the bike for me. As for you calling me an idiot...please...you have nothing on me son.dwhiteF4i said:Yeah, you're an idiot. I seem to recall that the F series bikes have been around for many years and have always been a great seller for Honda. You're right, it's such a 'heap of crap' that nobody wants it anymore. That's also why the lastest versions, F4i, were factory race bikes. Also the fact that HRC still offers a race kit for it. Yeah, nobody wants that 'heap of crap'. Are you sure you don't own a gixxer 600 instead?
the 1K looks better than the new RR to me

ADRENALINEJUNKY said:I think he's calling bs on this
Well, I've owned sereral different bikes over the years and got to sample many others as well. I don't have as many years as you though of riding. The latest bikes I've ridden were the GSXR 1000 K6 and although it was a nice bike, it did seem to feel top heavy and lathargic in corners, like you said about the older GSXR 750. Just today went on a long ride with a friend and he offered up the keys to his '06 1000 RR and I must say that it handled great and had a nice feel to it. I think the F4i is a little more nimble in corners, probably from the 180 rear instead of the liters 190, but still holds lines quite well. I like the 600RR, but I'll say that I've never ridden one...I'm quite frankly not that interested in it. Nice bike, but if I want a real aggresive track bike, I'll go with the 1000RR - the real deal. As I said in another post, I'll be adding a 1KRR to the garage along with keeping the F4i early next year, maybe a left over '06. I picked up the F4i for a fun and quick bike while not suffering from hurting knees or a sore butt after 50 miles. The F4i will still hold right next to the 600RR in the twisties, no question about it. Calling it crap isn't justifiable from your argumentive points about it.James06CBR said:I've never owned a GSXR, although I rode a friend's bike back in 1990. yea, that must be why it won a bunch of AMA superbike titles...Fooldog01 said:As far as the RC51, i never understood what the fuss was. I guess some people just like V-Twins (nostalgia? Feel?) but it seems to be inferior to its 4 cyl counterparts in just about every way.
