Fairing LED's

i had mark do my passenger peg led's....now i'm daydreaming....has anyone seen this done? is it possible? is it cool or dumb? thanks.

i have not seen that before....i think that it would be possible....i think they look nice...creative...it would def be something different....just be care full drilling...it is not as easy to replace the front fairing as it is the passenger pegs...

I saw it done in person on a.... yep, you guessed it, gixxer.

Honestly, it did not work out. The LED's the dude used were unidirrecional. meaning they pointed in the direction they were mounted.

He mounted them higher than what you have, so they pointed up. Barely visible in daylight.

Plus, the inside of his fairing was laced with wires :bitchslap:

If you want to get creative, place some inside of the Ram Air Vents. You can make them blink with the blinkers. (would only work at night)

HONDA21, its still not going to be that bright. Also, If you ride two up the other persons foot might cover up the led's right? Dangerous IMO....

That's an interesting image...the other persons foot up over the front fairing! hehe...but anyway, nevermind that idea...i guess i'll just go with the gregg's flushmounts. just looking for something a little more custom - not a bedazzler effect though :lol2:

I like the way gregg's look...but i would not spend the money on them...i have a long wish list and i would rather put that moneytowards some of them....

I think it would look better if they were on the side fairings, 6 LED's mounted up and down. Thats about as flush mounted as you can get. Plus there would be no visible wires on the inside of your upper fairing. Just a thought.

HONDA21, It's the peg LED's I was talking about.

i know, i know....i was just....nevermind :lol2: but actually, i do think the passenger pegs leds are visible with someone on the back. anyway, nevermind the whole thing... i've halfway decided not to keep it anyway (see Items for Sale forum if needed). i miss dirt bikes. these are fun, but no substitute for what i'm really used to. and until i can afford 2 motorcycles... sorry - got sidetracked.
