I finally heard a politician that has made me proud. Straight up, relatable, and someone I will stand behind. I am tired of Obama and I hope Romney and Ryan can turn this country around. Paul Ryan sounded great tonight!!!

Paul Ryan is a hypocrite. I don't know what you think was a breath of fresh air about him.

He criticized the administration for not addressing the housing crisis, but neither he nor Romney has said what they would do, or if they would even do anything.

He criticized Obama for not helping small businesses and job creation, but he mentioned none of their plans other than "tax fairness and regulatory reform", which is pretty vague if you ask me.

He criticized "Obamacare" for having a mandate, saying it has no place in a free country. Romney's healthcare overhaul in Mass contained the same type of mandate.

Quote from Ryan: "$716 billion funneled out of Medicare by President Obama. An obligation we have to our parents and grandparents is being sacrificed, all to pay for a new entitlement we didn't even ask for." The budget passed by house repubs, and that Paul Ryan WROTE, keeps the cuts made by obamacare and addes around $200 billion more.

This is one of my favorites. Paul Ryan criticized Obama for ignoring the debt commissions recommendation, saying that the commission brought him an urgent report that he ignored. First off, it wasn't an official report from the commission because too many of them disagreed with it. One of those people that wouldn't sign off on the report, Paul Ryan.

Breath of fresh air? I didn't see that. Sounded like good ole politics to me.

I wish there would have been a floor fight with Ron Paul's delegates. I really did like him. And now the party passed rules making it harder for candidates like him to succeed.

He doesn't seem all there all the time (lil slowness from age I guess) but I doubt he would lie to my face as much. Ryan looked good in the beginning, but now he's starting to look like more of a pretty poster boy. They should seriously make it necessary to have at least 4 possible ppl to vote for without trying to run the non-popular (Ron Paul) under the table like they don't exist. The 2 main choices we have left are both horrible

I think if we could get how the campaigns are financed cleaned up it would open the door to more third party candidates. I agree that basically having two choices is a joke.

True. Honestly, besides that they should have a max dollar amount. Just because you can blow $$ on a campaign doesn't mean you are the man for the job. One thing Obama's ppl said that upset me is that he was getting upset that Romney had more money to spend. Here is my look at it, if you can't make a successful campaign within a given budget then how do you expect to clean up the country within a given budget. If you take money out the picture I bet we would get some actual decent ppl.

Paul Ryan has me on board 100 percent. U can keep hoping with Obama. I jus want all this overspending to stop and more faith to be put in business owners and not the govt

Just my 2 cents but everyone that preaches won't hold to what they tell u now in their term. It always happens they don't do a lot of the stuff that happens.

IMO bill Clinton was the best we have had in my lifetime. Yes he did bad with that chick but the spending was down, jobs were up and our debt was going down.

Reagan was the reason for that. Clinton just did a good job of keeping things in good shape.

You know that the first Bush was pres in between there, right? I don't think you can give Clinton's credit to Reagan.

I just have to add that Clint Eastwood was HILARIOUS last night. hahahaha

You can't give Clinton's credit to Clinton. He was forced into welfare reform and the balanced budget by the republican majority congress. Also his economy was helped significantly by the tech bubble.

Romney and Rubio's speach kicked ass last night. I just hope they stick to what they are campaigning on when they WIN the presidency.

You were like 3-11 years old during that time....just like me. Playing with bugs and dirt, eventually upgrading to big wheels and stuff. What did you care about jobs or debt?!

We have a republican majority in the house right now. Where's their blame?

Romney's speech was good in that he showed some emotion finally. It still lacked any details on how he plans to do anything. It was better than Paul Ryan's. At least Romney didn't tell any factual lies in his speech.
