Had a few CBRS before but I have never had this problem before.
I have a 08 Hanspree and what I`ve found that after I have started up in the morning, I seem to get get a "flat spot" ie when I open the throttle their seems to be a small time lag in the pick up. Sometimes it catches me out. I`ve changed that air filter for a K N one.
Has anybody got any ideas

No engine will run perfect till it warms up... even with fuel injection. Try an old carbed bike and ride it with the choke half on while its cold. Definately some flat spots there.

Maybe if you have a coffee while the bike warms up... you'll both be fine.

my first 08 graffiti bike had a lean spot (lag) in the stock fuel map at low rpm. sometimes these problems slip through honda and make it to the show room (at least thats what the honda techs told me). when i had my bike dyno'd and pc installed the lean spot went away. but its probably a good idea to give it a second to warm up. at the very least ur letting the oil get moving through the engine before u jump on it
