Hey there!

Had to replace front wheel, was putting it on but the axle doesn't go all the way thru... is this a tree (not staight?) problem or will the bolt will make it fit?

you're fine. Like Trevor said the bolt reaches through. Make sure you tighten your axle clamp bolts correctly.

1) Torque your font axle
2) Facing your bike as if you are sitting on it, the right axle clamp bolts needs to be tightened to torque first. However be sure you only tighten each bolt a little at a time. You need to alternate between both bolts, tightening a little each time until both are torqued (the right side is called the fixed or static side).
3) Next install the brake calipers, along with new caliper mounting bolts (make sure your front wheel spins ok).
4) Sit your front wheel on the ground (remove front stand)
5) Before tightening the left fork side (floating side), make sure your bike is stable and straight up and down (rear stand?). Pull up and push down on the handle bars as fast and hard as you can. Do this 3 or 4 times.
6) Now you can tighten the left side (floating side) axle clamp bolts, repeating the same pattern as you did for the right side (alternate until torqued).
7) At this point you should be good. Go for a ride, come back, and torque the axle clamp bolts again (they should already be torqued just fine - if not, you might want to start over).
