Future bike purchase poll - what to choose?

Fun poll thread here, assuming no financial barriers, what would you do?

Purchase a new 2011 Honda CBR 1000RR (with the known problems of prior years, '08, '09, & '10, corrected) OR hold out for one of the upcoming, redesigned 2012 model year Honda CBR 1000RR or Suzuki GSX-R1000 bikes?

Or, make no major purchase at all.

Thx !

A Triumph 675R, Duc 1198, BMW1000rr or Aprilla RSV4. You should put other as an option
I voted "Dont' purchase..." because although I'm personally interested in the ducati 848 evo and diavel,
there are rumors of new V4 CBR1000RR coming in the next couple of years.
I think I would pick the V4 over the Ducs, unless it never comes out, in which case I would go for a Duc.
What if it wasn't any of those? hmmmmm?
Bimota Tesi 3D...

A friend of mine bought the 848 this season and even though it looks good its not a very comfortable bike to ride for more than 30 minutes and the exhaust for it is over 2k. He got a special duc engine package and by the time he was done with all the mods, the total price was around 20k
as it stands now i wouldn't get any of those bikes. if i were to get a liter bike it would be a 2010 Yamaha R1 white. can't go wrong with the cross plane!!

:+1: lol, id love to get a Duc 848EVO and keep my RR :)
of your choices i voted CBR2011, im sure the 12 will be sweet!! but with a new model usually comes some issues?,
Thanks for the feedback so far gang.

Reason I didn't include other makes/models is because the three I mentioned are the only ones I'm considering purchasing - wouldn't mind some of the others mentioned, no offense.

I'd really love to pull the trigger on a new 2011 CBR 1000RR this season, perhaps later this summer or towards the end of riding season. Wouldn't even mind picking one up as a "leftover" or "closeout" during the off-season, if there's any still left...really liking the black paint scheme.

IIRC, there's an $800 "bonus buck" factory rebate/offer from Honda on their CBR 1000RR - hope it sticks around a little longer this season, every little bit helps.

I'm a little anxious for the 2012 bikes because there's still lots of "unknowns" about them - nothing official has been released yet (as far as I know?) and of course, the aforementioned "issues" that might pop up on a "new" model year/redesigned bike.

I sure hope Honda and Suzuki release their new literbikes with no issues or recalls.

Ah, decisions, decisions...

I would wait til next year to see what the new 2012 bikes would look like if Honda or Suzuki redesigns them.

when I bought my brand new 06RR in the Fall of 06, I didn't know they were coming out with the redesigned 07's; if I knew that I would've waited a few months and got a 07 instead.
if i were to buy another ride, it would be a classic ride

maybe a low km
748R
and 851 tricolor
an 1977ish, CB750/1000 and cafe racer the helll outta her, hids, custom pipes, digidash new forks and brake up front and silky paint, a fun keeper project
something along those line

:+1:Don't wanna end up with buyers remorse. Me personally I would go with an S1000RR or 675R for street duties while I keep my 600rr for the track.
Wait for the 2012's and if you don't like 'em, buy a brand new 2011 because I'm sure they will be around...with better deals.
Since it's your second bike, you can afford to wait it out. If it's going to be your only bike then that's a different story.

Awww...my choice isn't up there.

Buy a Supermoto!!
if i were to go liter, i would go r1 i think the cross planecrank is amazing.
