Good rattlecan paint?

1111 Views 15 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  Mister Dirt
I acquired a perfect condition but unpainted 04 tail for $25. I'm going to fiberglass it into a solo tail and paint it. I'm probably just gonna rattlecan it myself, but I don't know a good brand to use. If I can get it to turn out nice, I might rattlecan the whole bike. I want it to be better than just good enough for the 10 foot rule though. Anyone have any good brands/tips? I also want a good rattlecan clearcoat.

Dude, don't rattle can it. Hell send it to me I'll paint it for $75.
Krylon Fusion paints are popular in this crowd...
colorrite I think they can put the paint in a rattlecan for you..

But for 75 bucks send it to natypes...
i don't recommand you to do rattle can...
i painted my r6 tail black with the rattle can and it didnt look good.
i did sand with 100, 600, 1000 and 2000 and used paint, sand again paint sand and clear coat but still it didnt look good as factory paint..
If shipping didnt cost so much I would let you paint my race glass...
Damn "natypes" you got some skillz.... looks good, Really good!
Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm needing work really bad right now. Luckily I'm about to have some case covers done. I still have a black right mid, '04 tail and '05 tail for sale.
Have you been gone for a while naytypes? I haven't seen any posts by you lately. I still love the white bike, nice!! But to be back on topic, don't rattle can your tail, 75$ is a good price bro! Just send it to him.
+1 for Krylon Fusion..used it on my black on my 2000 r6 and it came out good just make sure you spray even layers or a few days later you'll notice it..
around here they have this stuff called bulldog and what it does is it opens the poors in the plastic and then you spray it with whatever kinda spray paint you want and it will stick on there real nice no sanding at all!! I used it and my paint hasnt chipped yet! good luck bro
