Will recently my cluster took a **** on me, and have been trying to find another cluster that had similair miles on it to switch with. I have about 8,000 and I was trying to find one with close to it or a little more so I could make it match and then just swap. Will that hasn't been going to well since most clusters have less mileage than me. Anyway... I was wondering if i could rig up wheel speed sensor to the signal wire on the cluster and get a relucter wheel to spin and be able to move the mileage on the cluster. Has anyone tried to mess with the mileage on a cluster before or is this not doable? any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you buy a new cluster, what other swap do you need to do than plug the new cluster in? Just find a cluster with comparable mileage to yours and plug! I don't understand what else you think you need to do.

Tampering with the mileage is illegal.

From what i understand is he wants to tamper with the milage so the new cluster will read the same milage as his old cluster. Which is A-ok, i think
