Well I'm an idiot..
So I finally got my bike! Had to drive my car 3 hours up to Jacksonville from Tampa (got a $200 speeding ticket). I really wanted my bike!
My friend and I decided to take a longer way back from Jacksonville so it took about 4 1/2 hours
and I finally got back to Tampa around 5 a.m. and I'm dead tired. This is my first bike and I just finished my MSF so I'm not use to the sore ass, cramped wrists, and etc...
I'm heading down on a two lane (each way) and I have to take a left soon (has it's own turning lane). Well I check out the light and it's green but I can BARELY see it b/c the sun was coming up right behind the lights.
There is a Dodge Durango in front of me turning left as well... .so I ease up on the throttle, downshift and I see him going so I start giving a little throttle. Right then I looked left to the traffic perpendicular to me and they started moving.. I looked up and saw my left turn signal light is now RED. FU*K!, I slammed on my front brake, and BAM my bike fell over. Luckily I am a ninja so I hopped off w/ no harm but dang... was that embarrasing.. just a few nicks and scratches on the bike.. nothing big.
Cliff notes: Don't ride when tired... double check lights... don't rely on other drivers for information.
