No contest, Pedrosa is a better rider.......but it doesn't take away from me being a HUGE Hayden fan. Don't hate on Pedrosa, but don't find him very exciting to watch.

Hayden has a good attitude but makes too many mistakes - not quite in the Hopper or Melandri class though. Pedrosa is a smooth rider but can't 'mix it up'. I'm just not convinced that the Honda suits Haydens style best..

I've never really been a huge Hayden fan but I've never liked Pedrosa either. For me Nicky isn't consistant enough and lacks the "x" factor that my favorite riders have, and Pedrosa does consistantly well but is unable to win races. A good example is last weeks race... Pedrosa had the race in his pocket and what does he do, he blows it and gives the champ lead back to Rossi. Even though I'm not a big fan of either rider I would say Pedrosa and Hayden are about the same as far as skill goes. Although Hayden has been having a lot of problems this year I with that with the right bike and set up he will capable of beating Pedrosa.

I don't know if Pedrosa is a better "overall" rider. I think Dani is an exceptional rider for his "style" of riding. But when it comes to dicing, late braking and riding around a bike's problems (i.e. tire sliding, tires going off), I don't know if he's all that great. On "equal" machinery (i.e. RC211V), Hayden demonstrated that he's a better rider than Dani (for the number gurus, they both won 2 races). The difference is how they came about their numbers. Dani had the all-revered dominant 211V, while Hayden had the self-imploding evo211V.

Obviously, the new 212V is built around one rider because the only rider able to WIN on the 212V is Dani. And only Dani has shown that he can put it on the podium consistently. The rider with the next most podiums on the 212V... you guessed it, Nicky Hayden.

Given the PV Honda, Hayden is showing that he can hang with Dani (up until the fuel runs out). So, when it comes right down to it, I don't think Dani is all that better.

Now, here's something interesting: Dani vs. Dovi.

Put Dovi on the same bike as Dani and I swear, Dovi would beat him. This is something I don't think anyone's considered. What kind of garage will that be when Dovi and Dani share it? What happens (and it will happen) when Dovi starts beating Dani? Dani stays with HRC for his last year and he's gone.

But no, I wouldn't say Dani is a better overall rider. Both are very talented in their own right. But I'd say they're comparable. Really, the only test is putting Hayden and Dani both on the same spec 211V and have a go at it.

Pedrosa may have more skills, but that doesn't mean anything when you're a 5' tall bag o' douche.

I need to watch that vid of Pedrosa falling 3 times within 2 minutes again. Man that was funny ****.
