Hey,
I recently had a PC3 installed by a local race bike mechanic. The next night I stopped at a walmart and when I went to turn the bike on and put it in the on position, without starting it up yet, the headlight wasnt comming on. Neither of the 2 lights, I tried putting it on high beam also. I turned the key from on off to on a few times and then it finally came on. On that same day when going over a rough road the gauge started dimming and headlights flickered a little. This was a few weeks ago.

no problems from then till today:

Today before washing my bike i put the key in the on position and again, nieht headlight came on. Switched it from on to off a few times. Still nothing. Then let it sit in the on position and it finnaly came on. I have a scorpio alarm installed but I dont think thats the problem because I've had that for over a year w/o problems.

The mechanic says a fuse may be blown, well I dont even know where to fuse box is, and if it is blown, wouldnt the lights never come on?

Thanks

1. check the fuse box behind left side middle fairing
2. check the 2 plugs underneath the left side ram air cover
3.check the headlight wiring harness plug and the socket
that holds the bulb itself ( part # 6 ) in this picture

and last but not least check the bulbs themselves
& Best of Luck

very easy to get too
1 reach in and squeeze both ends of the headlight plug (black) & pull towards you if you are standing behind the bike
2.Slide one end of the Rubber dust cover off then the other end ( part # 5 )
3.push in and towards your right the metal spring that
holds the bulb in place will get loose
4. the black socket (part # 6 ) attached to the bulb can be pulled for inspection

its ok both will be attached together
make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb simply
because the oil off yor skin will burn the bulb

There is a thread somewhere around here about the killswitch problem. To get to the tap thing, you need to take the screwsout of the plastic housing on the kill switch. The killswitch comes apart in the middle. The on the lower half (i think) has a metal plate inside it that is hel in by 2 screws. Under that are some wires. Look around there to see if you see anything not-normal
