Around town you prob won't notice the decrease in mileage compared to the increase in pep. If you do much Hwy commuting, it's going to be a little more apparent that your gas gauge doesn't linger in the full position too much.

I noticed when group riding, I stopped hesitating to get gas at every station we stopped at and now I just top it off constantly as a precaution.

I did the more common -1/+2

-1/+2 killed my fuel economy, but then I tend to be a wee bit throttle happy and do quite a lot of commuting.
It will also screw up your speedo reading, so you'll need a speedohealer.
