Fyi, a 480p rip is now floating around the torrent trackers. Still waiting on a HD rip...

Seems like you can order it through Amazon and have it shipped to the US. Check it out! Couple of things, 1 yes this is avail on Amazon UK ( I ordered the Blu Ray a little while back) i was not aware of the situation regarding N/A sales etc, I will most likely order a second copy once its avail on Amazon.ca or Amazon.com and yes for the Zone thing, but I've ordered vids from UK before and never had an issue? I watch blu-rays via my PS3. Secondly this is via the FB page created for this film, link here https://www.facebook.com/groups/HittingTheApex/

"A friendly note to everyone here in North America who is considering purchasing DVDs of this film off of Amazon UK:
From what I understand, Mark Neale has only North American distribution rights. So, he has the right to collect money from any screenings/sales within that jurisdiction. Outside of that area (i.e. - the rest of the world), all distribution is controlled by Universal - meaning Mark doesn't get a cut of any of that money from Amazon UK or other global sales outlets.
This is why it is so important for Americans/Canadians to purchase the film domestically once it becomes available. (Anyone outside of North America shouldn't feel guilty about purchasing the film made available through local legal channels.) Taking income away from Mark in North America prevents him from recouping what it cost out of his pocket to make this film. Plus, he deserves to make a fair living for all of his hard work.
In addition, the downloading of illegal torrents directly hurts the ability to create these niche MotoGP/racing films that we all love. Besides keeping money out of Mark's pocket, taking the global income stream away from Universal creates the situation where if Mark wants to make another film like this with the help of Universal down the line, they may refuse to assist him because they think it won't be worth their time if they can't make any money.
So, please be patient, and domestic screening/purchasing information will be provided to you as soon as becomes available. Thank you!"

and most recently from Mark himself "
UPDATE: HITTING THE APEX IN THEATERS - USA & CANADA
We've now received emails from people in over sixty cities in the USA and Canada who want to help bring the movie to their local theaters. This is getting exciting!
If you want to help bring the film to a theater near you, please email us at
[email protected]
We will have details later this week of how we can do this together. At this point, just let us know if you're interested.
More about the release: we - the filmmakers - are releasing HITTING THE APEX independently in North America. Universal is releasing in the rest of the world. We the filmmakers have only just completed the North American version, which has a much better sound mix, and the DVD here will have many more extras. Some great exclusive stuff. We are giving people what we think you deserve. The best possible movie and DVD/digital package. I've been working on it for three years and it is now a few weeks away. Please bear with us. Thank you for your support and understanding."

I'm with you on this! I have posted requests on two local pages to start a vote on a good local theater. Once we decide we will all be sending emails to request the movie!

Don't they release the DVD/Blu-Ray about the same time as showing it in movie theaters? Why would anyone go to the movie theaters if it's already released on media?

I'd be willing to bet Mark Neale is licking his chops over a possible VR46 championship this year. Fastest Pt 2?
