I am guessing you want a bigger tire for the look. I know the new R1's have a 190 on them and you can see the difference. I don't really know the answer to your question, but my guess is that you can't.

You can go to a 190 on the rear but it is going to slow your turn in when you corner. Some get it for looks i guess. If you are going to the track... Now that is a different story. Lots of guys run 190's for more contact patch. But they are modifing their bikes to compensate for the larger bike. Stick with the 180. It is best for the street.

I would stick w/the 180.

Would a front 120/70ZR-17 and a 180/55ZR17 rear be a good combo, not familiar with the front tire sizes for the RR.

I was just going to do it for the looks. My bike is new so I was not planning on changing for a long time I just wanted to see what everyone else had to say about it.

if you want to go for the looks i say change the wheels to marchesini that'll catch a lot more attention than a different size rear tire.

Also, putting a 190 on a rim that is only wide enough for the 180 is not a good idea in the handling of the bike. You are going to force the tire into an out-of-round postion, then your contact patch is going to be off to one side or the other and the bike with handle completely different form one side to the other. Not a good idea too do.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I will leave the tire size alone.

Yeah so I just looked them up and pissed on myself when I saw the price! Thanks for looking out though

You can always look at the carrozzeria's. They're cheaper than the marchesini's but look awesome!
