How does one keep that wheel down?
considering they can break the rear tire loose at 140mph stock, i don't think there is too much traction for wheelies :lol2:

odd thing is they are not selling for a damn. i have yet to see one on the street, but i have seen many pictures of them and personally in showrooms. the r1's are selling like hotcakes on the other hand.
lucky, or others, do you know how that hp compares to a stock busa's?

stock busas dyno low to mid 150's to the wheels.
ok, so remember that vid a few days back with the 900 hp Viper and the non/modded busas? Does that mean that this bike would kick all their asses?
It`s also running a PC3USBr in both configurations which alters the ignition timing,
which would explain the jump using race fuel.
a guy pulled up to me yesterday with a zx somethin with bags just cruisin at about 45mph and i thought i would kill him and he killed me. His bike looked so gay, but it was fast as hell
Our Kwak dealerships won't even get one until mid April so I'm sure that there are other dealerships across the US that are in the same boat. Which may be a factor in why there haven't been that many sold and on the road.
I went in to the dealership not long ago and asked about it. He told me that they recalled the bikes cause they where having a transmission problem. /shrug
iam in south florida, i have seen the new zx-10 at the dealer i bought my rr from! so they are out and in dealers

Hehe typical for a Kawi
They aren`t in the dealers in my area yet. The 600rr didn`t show up in the dealers in my area until mid April of last year either. When I put my money down last Feb Honda was saying mid March for the bike, it really sucked waiting those 4 extra weeks.
Road Racing World rated it as the best track bike out of all the liter bikes. Very small... very quick turn-in... surprisingly excellent grip at the rear under power... the BEST brakes out of all the new liter bikes... and the BIGGEST thing of all... SLIPPER CLUTCH is STOCK on it.

Not bad at all. Kawi green with the Alpinestars Green SX-1 race suit... hmmmmm.
They just took delivery of an orange one at my local dealer, so I hear. I know a guy who's got a depsoit down on the first green to come in, I'll let you know what it's like when it shows up.
That bike is bad a$$, I sat on it at the bike show & it feel so small.

BTW that article in RRW rated the 1000RR last even to the GSX R1000.

If I buy a bike this year it will be the ZX-10R. I'm sure it will make for a kick ass commuter :lol2:

RRW did a great article as Nick said. They loved the bike. They mentioned the suspension could use some work, but on the track stock suspension is replaced anyway. If i remember correctly they stated that the ZX10 weighs less than our beasts....okay here is what they said

Fully Fueled
GSXR1000 - 442lbs
CBR1000RR - 467lbs
ZX10 - 430lbs (lighter than CBR600RR!)

stock (pump gas)
GSXR1000 - 150.5 bhp @11,400 rpms
CBR1000RR - 153.2 bhp @ 11,100 rpms
ZX10 - 161.9 bhp @ 11,800 rpms

They loved the ZX10....
