how do you get the main rider seat off a 06 600rr, im trying to replace my cowl

Two allen screws underneath the seat. Lift up the rear corners and you'll find them.

Pull back corners of seat up...........loosen two bolts....slide seat back and off but your seat has nothing to do with cowl. you use the key for that.

It's called the tail... not the seat.

Remove the front seat and pillion seat.
Remove the half fairings below the front seat
Under the pillion seat, there should be 4 other screws.
work the tail off, it doesn't slide on and off very gracefully.

ta-da!

Cmon guys, the guy should look at it and figure it out in 2 seconds...........but the tail is on tight in back. Gotta pull out on the sides...stretch that bitch and lift it off.

i got it done, took about 20 minutes, i just didnt know how to get the seat off, this is my first 600rr thanks for the info tho guys
