is THERE anything u can put inside the helmet were u can take out and wash it ??
Yes put a clean head in it and you won't have to worry about stink. The whole shaven head thing works too. J/K Actually you might be able to use the Clorox Febreeze.(It will mask the odor and maybe kill surface bacteria.) Or you could scrub it down with a small brush and some mild soap. The put it out to dry in the sun with a dryer sheet. It might not work well in winter though. :( Maybe a blowdryer...just don't leave it damp.

Eh for most part I keep my head rather clean, it is cut extreamly short to so that helps. Also I use several bandanas so sorta use as removable liner which im sure helps a ton. Other then that dont sneeze in your helmet and **** =P ha.

You know, you might be able to wash your helmet out. My Arai Astral can be submerged in water. At first, I was sceptical, but the instructions says so, so I gave it a try.

Fill the sink up with water and drop the helmet inside. Make sure the insides are good and soaked, then use shampoo and rub the liner. Rinse (and repeat...jk!). Make sure you rinse it good. Rinsing actually takes longer than shampooing. Then take the helmet outside and whip the helmet around in vertical 360s until water stops streaming out. Then use a super absorber (the kind for drying cars) and blot out most of the water. Blot until the liner feels damp rather than wet. Believe it or not, this step will do wonders for drying time. Last, set a fan so that it blows immediately and directly into the bottom of the helmet positioned on its side. It'll be dry in 8 hours or so.

By the way, once the helmet begins to smell, regular cleaning is more or less a fact of life.

For those who say just put a clean head in it, you mustn't sweat either, eh? ;) Clean head or not, and sooner or later, bacteria will begin to break down the sweat on the helmet and cause a smell.

I never ride my bike to "the club". Too many drunk idiots stumbling out that think they have a right to sit on my bike. Plus, anytime you ride, you should have all your gear on... You'd look kinda stupid getting your "freak on" in a pair of Sidi Vertebra race boots!

Yes, I understand. This is an RR site--we are all seduced by this sexy bike. But keep on riding like you do and without proper gear (at least boots and a jacket) and you might be a big stinky smear on the road.

...just doing my part to prevent another rider from going down. You won't be very appealing to the ladies if something goes wrong.
