just got the sprocket and chain in...and wanted to check first to see if anything needs to be done to chain before installing and riding it. the chain is still in the package and appears to be covered with whitish grease...does that mean it's ready to go, or do i need to wipe that off and lube the chain?
i remember reading somewhere years back that the white stuff is just to keep the chain from rusting while it's sitting on the shelf...don't know if this is true or not, or if chain comes prelubed ready to go? any help is appreciated!
