In many states once it has a salvage title you wont beable to get a loan on the bike, and then it needs to be inspected by the state in order to be considered road worthy again.
How much does salvage title affect value???
If a bike has a salvage title how do you figure out what it's worth? What would the resale value be? How does the insurance company look at a bike like that?

it all depends on the buyer and the price. there is no set deduction for it.
As far as the insurance company goes I think it depends on the amount of damage. Typically if it's going to cost more to fix the bike than its residual value, it will be totalled. Frame damage is almost an automatic.
If you were trying to sell a salvage bike, it would be that residual value as to what you can expect to get for it. Most buyers of salvage bikes are turned into track bikes and never see public roads again.
