If you do a search you should be able to come across somthing, however this is very very easy replacement. I was surprised literly 2 bolts and your whole caliper is off then 2 more and pads are out.
My bike has 12k and pads had 1/6th of life left i suppose. If you get a flash light you can kinda tell, there will be a wear mark on the pads kinda like your tires. Also another indication for me was I was from the brake lever because I would adjust the numbers so obviously new it was getting close.

lightly sand your rotors when old pads are off, also make sure to use loctite on the caliper bolts your putting back in.
I used galfer pads (cough hardracing.com cough)and think they feel great.

At 10xxx, mine are past the wear indicator and need to be replaced, but if you just use the bike for street riding and engine brake a lot, they can last longer.

I need to get on that though... I'm going to have a hard time dropping $100 for OEM pads though...
