Some generic info:
Kit : http://www.lightech.it/scheda.asp?cod=ARHO101 (red color)
My bike is a CBR600RR 2013 (with ABS).

I order the kit, shown below and also:
  • Ergal Bolts (red) - the ones provided are "normal bolts" so I wanted to follow the Red Ergal addiction I have on my bike.
    • Code:001 - M6 Len=30 (three)
    • Code:001 - M6 Len=15 (one)
  • Nylon washers - always use them to avoid scratches on fairing or other Ergal products
Here the shopping list:


Instructions provided with the kit (PDF also on the website):


I ordered the three special rings and their special nuts from the smallest to the largest. Front right bolt, of course, is different.


All the sliders (rear right + left and front left) are the same (on the left in the pic) except for the front right (on the right in the pic)


The special nuts are different on each side, one is linear (below) and this face goes near the slider

The other one (below) instead goes with the nut

For the rear (right + left) and the front left we have to assemble a set like the below:

Here the first one pre-assembled

As you may see the nut has also two different sides, the one linear goes versus the inside of the axle.
Torque at more or less 4 NM while assembling it on the axle; rear left side below (largest couple nut-ring):

Front right original bolt removed

New special bolt installation (torque at 45 NM)

Finally the frame - Remember to use the "different frame"


Now problems start... the front left has a strange "axle"

and the provided assembled frame (the last one available) unfortunately does not get in in the right way...


I started my investigations and discovered that all the ABS and not-ABS models of CBR600RR from 2010 (including so the 2013) have different FRONT AXLE WHEEL part number:
  • ABS: 44301-MFJ-A50
  • not-ABS: 44301-MFJ-D00
Therefore problems could be that their ends are different (as per bike model) or LighTech made a wrong kit (I sent an email but as it is vacation period I think I will get an answer in September).

So to overcome the problem and finish my job, I thought in something like the below:

because after few millimeters the axle has the 17 mm of diameter that the ring+nut have.

So a new shopping list

  • On the right of the picture, original parts
  • on the left:
    • M10 nut (it perfectly stays in the axle)
    • Washer - internal 8,5 mm - external 16 mm (two) (they avoid movements)
    • LighTech Bolt - Code:001 - M6 Len=50
During the assembling I put some electrical tape on the bolt to avoid movements of the nut.

Everything assembled

And finally mounted:

I have an 07. The front was fine I had an issue with one of the rear. The "Special" nut with the expansion slit was to big I had to grind away a bit so that I could squeeze it into my axle before expanding again..

I have an 07.
Just checked on Honda diagrams and the 07 versions have the 44301-MFJ-D00.

The "Special" nut with the expansion slit was to big I had to grind away a bit so that I could squeeze it into my axle before expanding again..
Maybe it was a manufacturing defect, so you should have asked for a new one, but if a small manual work let you to install it, you made the right thing :thumbup:

We should just found someone that has an ABS model (previous of 2013) and if she/he confirms that part 44301-MFJ-A50 is the same of my picture we may deduce that the kit is only for no-ABS version :shakehand

I've google the last two hours searching several fork protectors and i'm ending with these Gio, on the bay there are several chinese solutions but I cannot find any pics on a bike and to me they seems huge so i will pass over....
I'm writing here because i cannot understand how the lightech rear sliders attach to the swingarm, are them keep in place with an expansion plug? if yes, doesn't them popout if you try to move or kick them?

I'm using R&G's on mine...

Good investment, they are cheap and a scratch on the forks its not cheap..

For the rear, regular stand spools but made with the same material as sliders... also from R&G

R&G cost almost the double of lightech :) and the spools are probably the most wrong thing i've left on the bike when i was rear ended the last march.
Due to this the left spool litterally strip off the thread of the screw and i lost 1 month waiting a brand new swingarm shipped from the Japan...this is why i'm spending some €€ on these, doesn't really want to wait again 40 days for a swingarm and 20€ more for the sticker that my insurance doesn't refund me.
Here the damages to the swingarm and to the rizoma nocut that thankfully saved almost the whole front part of the bike:

Yes, when you screw the bolts the collar get expanded

if yes, doesn't them popout if you try to move or kick them?

Until now no, they stayed there, I also removed them and re-installed once I changed my tires.

Of course I hope to never test them ;)

If you want I can un-mount one and take better pics on how they work

Here in Spain I can get them in 24 hs.

They costed around 20/30 bucks a and unfortunately already tried them and they did their job...

Of course this lightecs have looks too... Mine are black plain and boring... But we all know OP has good taste and likes stile a lot... No wonder questo bambino e italiano... Cuomo la buona pasta!!! Jajajaja...

I'll post pics tomorrow of the spools ...

Here in Spain I can get them in 24 hs.
have you got any link? R&G carry them for 100€ both shipped, lightech are 65€ shipped.
I'm in italy as wrote on the left.


Of course this lightecs have looks too... Mine are black plain and boring...
to be honest i prefer the plain black over some fancy graphic;)


@gioarge: thanks for the reply, will see if "poncio" can provide some interesting link otherwise I will go aswell with the "titanium" version of Lightech.

edit: ended up with the R&G set, 72€ shiiped to my door, brand new. thanks for the hints guys.

Thanks guys, as written in my previous post yesterday I already bought them in the same shop linked by Gio directly on their website that was a little cheaper than eBay.
Will open another th when they will arrive since we are ot here. Ty for the help again.
