There should be an explanation on the Dainese website about how to take the measurement, most of the manufacturers have one.

Typically, you should measure around the broadest part of your chest, just under your armpits......but check the website if you haven't already and see if they give more information.

I agree. Use tape measure (the tailor kind) not Stanley's or some other crazy stuff. Measure straight across the broadest part of your chest usually just at or over the nipples. If its below go get a breast exam you might have gyno. j/k I'd say the best information I can provide is try and go to a local store to try on a jacket made by that manufacturer. Unless you live in some podunk place like me it shouldn't be too hard. Trust me, I'm having a really hard time returning my suit b/c I went of the Teknic sizing chart and ordered mine. Sure it fits decent on the measured parts like height, weight, and chest. But my legs, crotch, and arms didn't agree with the suit.

Yes, I realize it's just a jacket and not a whole suit but I'm just throwing my 2 cents in. Every manufacturer is different esp. when it comes to overseas items. I'm like an XXL in Japanese shirt sizes. hahahaha

How do I measure for my chest size? Yeah I know...I've never had any shirts that didn't say small/med/large :)

I'm about 5'7 , 110lbs
you should be a 48 european which is equivalent to a size 38 US
