Hey, bro. I created a thread about this.

I have the ARATA headers, too; and use the wrench plier which only costs like $10 to $15 bucks.

They are by far THE best oil filter remover for any oil filter on any vehicle.

Why? I never had problems removing my oil filter with the Arata. I too used oem filters. something's gotta be off?
Hmmmmm...... Maybe we get different OEM filters here the East Coast. There is no way to remove the filter without removing the #3 & 4 headers. :???:

Try one of these:
Purolator ML16817 or
PureOne L14620, 14612, 14610
Bosch 3323
I'm sure they offer the same if not better filtration as the stock filter.

I've got a PureOne (blue) either 612 or 620 on, and it's a little shorter than the stock filter, not to mention A LOT cheaper.

from the left side of the bike, use your right hand and reach behind you. Grab the filter like that and you can easily twist it on or off.. I just did mine with Arata headers and it was a cinch..
