Soooo.... yeah. Went to hooters, had a great time, talked about the lack of gear around only one part of my body (my ass) and so on, was a great BoRn meeting and everyone had fun.

now before i continue, i dont consider myself a squid and so on, i have done a few squid things here and there but hey, havent we all at some point... i do the track days, i have the gear, the track plastics, i stunt when i stunt in a closed off abandend airport and so on.... so heres the story:

EDIT: to make this easy, im in CT, its been 50s here all month pretty much, today it was 70! This happend at 10pm on a connector between two major highways, its about 5 miles long and straight with a nice big (NOT SOFT) concrete devider:

We go out to hartford, go up 384, 291 and a few other places just to ride around in the nice weather. It gets kinda late but we end up at NECC again, meet up with at few guys and we go out for a spin again, on 291 me and a guy on a gsxr 750 line up to do a 2nd gear roll on again, did it a few times and all was good (guy didnt beleive me it was a 600, said its a 1000 with diff stickers... he suck at riding, but who am i to say that NOW). Anywho, 3rd time, we open up, i upshift into 5th and at the same time i go over a small bridge type thing devider that picks the front end up a little.

As it comes down it goes into a small tank slapper for about .2 seconds and from there it escalates to that Isle of man TT tank slapper that we all have seen, I rode that out for about 1/4 mile at 140 if not faster. Did everything i could to try and get on the gas or lean back and so on... but it was so violent and fast i couldnt do **** but hang on and let it do its thing.

After some time the bike starts to drift fast from the right lane into the concrete devider on the left. Once i got to about 1' away, i had to make the hardest desision of my life... to jump off the side of the bike at those speeds. So, thats what i did, i leaned back and slid off the right side of the bike. Landed on my right butt cheeck and and right before that the bike slammed into the wall as my leg dragged on it a bit. Once on the ground i knew right away to get onto the protected parts of my body so i worked hard to lift my butt off the ground and slide on my back, my boots, my helmet and so on. At some point i end up clipping the wall and it spun me around till i came to a stop (guys said i went at least 100-200 feet).

After sliding over a drain, i rolled onto my stomak and started to crall down the side of the highway... figured thats not a good idea and rolled over to lay down and check myself. There was almost no traffic but by this time a few cars had stopped and so did everyone else who was on the bikes (only BoRn members). I checked myself for a few, i knew i didnt hit anything hard and so on... so i got up and started to walk, my bike was a good 300 feet down the road.

I walked up the side of the highway in the left lane to pick up my credit cards and so on since my wallet got ripped out of my back pocket, i also knew my ass was a little on the fucked side. Chris ran up to me and told me the bike still runs and to see what i wanted to do... i jumped on it and we took the next exit (1 mile or so).

At the gas station we really inspected me and the bike, and since i was 10min from home i said **** it, ill just limp it home. Came home, went to hospital to scrub my ass (BOY does that ******* hurt!) and now im here, the only ONLY, rash i have is on the unprotected part of my body, and i have one small little blister on my palm from trying to stear myself and it rubbed through in one spot.

I had on, Riding boots, shin guards, knee pads, back protector, leather jacket, leather gloves and a helmet, and that all SAVED me life! I cant be more happy with the way a really bad situation turned out!

The bike:

All in all, i should be dead at this point, im on pain killers and some other cool stuff they gave me, im just in a lot of shock, not from what happened but the desision i made that saved my life. Its hard to look back on it and to say wow, im going 140mph and im about to hit a wall but i should jump off the bike and hope for the best. Kinda fucked up in the head! The gear really really saved my life and thats no fcuking joke, i just RODE away from a 140mph impact with a wall! Im going to bed, rebuild the bike over the winter, back to tribal i hope :) inspect the damage really later but from the looks of it after it hit the wall it flopped onto the right side and slid for a really reall really long time (hell i stopped sliding and looked up the thing was still going for a good 100 feet). The frame slider did its job thats for fcuking sure!

by the way, the only bad thing that really hurt me was the under armor that i wore, it melted into my ass :( and the guys said the laidy went to town on it cleaning it with all her wait on it. The scrub brush isnt as bad as they make it out to be, its everything else before it that REALLY hurts :sad3:

Ride safe guys!

Esp. the undergarmets that you said melted into your ass?
Nike stuff thats designed for cold weather, its like $60 for pants and $70 for the shirt. Although it took some time, they got everything out and it wasnt as bad as it looked in the pic.

CRAP MAN, glad your ok..... that must have been one of the hardest decisions you have made to this day..

heal up soon... but seriously atleast you had your gear and you are definitely in as good of shape to be expected after losing it going 140mph. The bike looks pretty manageable too. Someone was looking out for you.

Didn't you just endo over and flip it a couple days back Io????
now 140mph....damn dude, slow down a bit. i know you're supposed to have fun on the bike, but not like this.

I'll tell you that you were extremely lucky to slide it out the way u did. I was only going highway speed (65mph) when i was clipped by a car and slammed into the concrete divider shoulder/arm first after a highside and short slide. it was NOT pretty...and well, u already know the story.

take a break and stop abusing your body. go tell a few people u love em, and contemplate how fukkin cool the bike's gonna be next summer.

edit: and oh yeah...EXCELLENT job on wearing gear (minus the ass rash).

Well, 1st one was a highside at the track, cant really say a bad thing about that.

2nd, was me learing and practicing endos in a closed off enviroment, so dropping the bike was part of the plan, just didnt think it was going to happen like that :icon_lol:

3rd one, this one... well, that was an accident :stickyman

As far as the bike, im not worried guys, i care about my body and thats it, fcuk the bike, it can be fixed or what ever, im just happy to be alive.

Also, i hope no one ever is put in a place where they have to deside between staying on the bike or jumping off, at any speed. But thats the only thing that saved my life (well, the gear also) had i staid on for another .1 second i would have hit the wall with my left side and im sure it would have pitched me over the wall onto the other side of the highway thats if i missed the light poll or the wall itself.

As far as cops, like i said, its a long connecter between 2 major highways, 10pm at night, im sure they were called in but we werent there for more than 3-5 min before i jumped back on and took the first exit.

As far as my ass today, well, its not that bad, i dont have any seep gouges in it, its just minor rash, dispite the fact that it looks other wise its really not bad, doc said it heal up in 2-3 days...

Guess i now have one more kick ass story to tell my grandkids :director: now onto getting the bike ready for deals gap 2007.

You're really making a lifestyle out of crashing huh? First off get a damper for the bike, second save the racing for the track, and third try to smarten up 140 on a public road is just retarded, gear helps but it doesn't make you invincible. Not to harp on you, but I'm sure you know better.
