I'am getting the front end done and the suspension expert said there is no point in getting ohlins springs as it would make my ride worse. He said to just keep the stock springs as they are perfect for my weight and i will not find an better springs for me weight. Also i will need an optional spring for my shock absorber so what should i get. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the suspension guy right about keeping the stock springs for the front.

ohlins makes different spring weights. What spring did he say was best, any? I think I would speak to someone else before I spent money on a rebuild.
I believe the stock springs are progressive as well, you will want straight rate ones.

He said i should change the shock absorber spring but leave the fork springs stock as they are suitable for my weight.
Street bikes are usually sprung heavy. They are unfortunately compensating for the fact that you may have a passenger. If the RR was sprung for 115, then it would bottom out on light braking with a 200lb rider or you two up.

I could be wrong, but I truly think your guy is full of it. I would try and get Max or Dan Kyles opinion if I were you before I started spending money.

Is there an echo in here?
Are you putting your RR on the track?
