Idle adjuster not working

I pulled my bike out after it had been sitting for about a month. The temperatures had been as low as 24 degrees. When I started it, the idle jumped way up to about 3000 and I started messing with the idle adjuster trying to lower it. When the bike warmed up, the idle dropped to about a thousand. I then tried to make it higher, but nothing happened when I turned the knob.

I covered the bike back up for two weeks and just pulled it out again. The idle is under 1000 right now and I'm unable to keep the bike running without it stalling out. The idle knob has tension on it, but turning it nonstop one way or the other doesn't do anything.

Any ideas?

I have seen this come up a few times now....

You will need to pull your tank off and have a look at where the idle cable goes into the throttle bodies, turn one end and I bet the other does nothing....
