Finally after runnin' 5 years(12000miles) of silent,i installed a yoshi rs-5 slip-on to my 2006 600rr.
on the 1st ride after installation,the bike was amazing,accelerating better,sounds better,everything was just fine.
after a while,i realized that the bike ain't runnin' fine and i began fellin' regret for taking that step.
After firing the bike up the auto shock works as usual,after the shock stop,the r.p.m gotta stand on the 11 or 12 rev.(idle speed).but it never happen,it keeps on goin' high and low all time and never stands the idle speed.
then anger took place:banghead:
i took it for a ride to find out what's wrong,i heared a knock sound comin' from the chain or sprocket on accelerating or decelerating on low gears.
i'm confused right now,but i'm sure there is a jockey here that can help.

The knocking sound could be the sign that the chain and sprockets may need to be replaced. As far as I am aware they do not conflict with the idle speed. Have you tried adjusting the idle control on the bike?

i agree with u,chain and sprocket r 70% maybe,but i began hearing the knock only when the idle starts that action.
i also tried the idle control,but it's only for raising and lowering the idle speed.

What is the reading once the bike is warmed up? The Manuel calls btw 2300-1500 I believe. If it keeps fluctuating like that you could possibly have fuel issue. Not enough and at times too much fuel is getting into the system.

And yes the idle speed just turns it up and down.

Is the idle funny just after starting it? If so it could be because it is cold and just needs to warm up. From my understanding because the bike will compensate to help warm the bike up and then drop to the normal idle once warm. If I am wrong someone please chime in. Mine does this when cold out and settles out to normal when warm.

As far as the noises, I would start with the chain and sprockets like str8 said.

i wonder if there is an idle sensor,or a tbs sensor(throttle body sensor) malfunction.may be the 02 sensor can't get it right.
also i mentioned all that happened after the yoshi installation.

there is no fuel monitoring, and thus no on the fly adjustment of fuel, so doubtfull either of these are the issue, the tps would throw a code via the FI light

if you have irratic idle it is most likely due to a vacum leak, or just a bad tune over all


can you get us a video of how bad the idle is?

Auto shock? did you mean auto choke?

When was the last time you replaced the air filter?

Bad air filter will cause it...
Could be the beginning signs of your MAP sensor dying...
Vacuum leak as Tenjin suggested...
Or simply a bad batch of fuel....

I agree with u Tenjin,there is no error codes displayed by the f1 light.
and i wonder Tenjin,how can the vacum leak occure and why!!

by the way i'll post a vedio tonight.

wow Nico u've just mentioned an important item,the air filter
i didn't replace it till now.
Owner's manual informed that it have to be inspected on the 12000miles.i'll check on it today.
maybe....
but the question is,why after the slip-on?

If there isn't enough air getting in there it will cause fuel to be left unburned, after a couple of cycles it then ignites increasing the RPM and the cycle starts again, although this will have been present with the old exhaust, it gets exacerbated by the higher flow of the new one, and subsequent higher demand for oxygen.

And vacuum leaks can happen for a variety of reasons, simple things like the fact that the engine vibrates like a bastard will cause stuff to come loose, that's why you are supposed to check that all the fasteners are tight once every 12 months or so.
