I'm installing Proton Flushmounts on my RR and I just got the wire whip spliced onto the new light and plugged in to test it out. The lights are blinking fast like bulbs are out. According to the Proton site, they are supposed to be internally balanced so they don't blink too fast. I paid $$$ for these things as you know they're $100 a set thinking I could just plug and play instead of buying the cheaper ones and having to wire in resistors.

So...those of you that have protons... Are you experiencing this? I still have the stock lights on the back. What did you do to correct it?

thanks alot!

I was hoping that I could avoid putting resistors in. That's why I bought the Protons because their site said they were "internally balanced" to prevent fast blinking.. Oh well.. I emailed them as well to see what they have to say about it.

If I recall, you had a couple of options with respect to blink rate. What I really want to know is if they fit properly. The pair I had didn't fit worth pud'n.
Mine fit great... I think I might get a little of that spray on tint though for them so they don't have that clear/white look.. we'll see. First I gotta get the blink speed slowed down.

Ya I did.. You have to use resistors or they will flash fast. I got an email from HighTechSpeed that makes the Protons and they said that if the lights flash fast you either have to change the flasher or add resistors.

When is someone going to step up to the plate and make a true plug and play LED signal light??? It can't be that hard for them to incorporate a simpe $2 resistor into the light design!

Blinks the same whether running or not.... I have the stockers out back still.

Will putting just resistors on the front lights keep the flash rate down if I install a CA taillight integrator?
