They use sand around here on the roads, I don't even bother with the bike until spring when they power brush all of the crap off. If not sand, they use so much salt that the roads are literally white when dry.

That a boy!!! Props to you for going out in those temps. For all you CA and southern guys, you have no idea what its like to have down time in the winter!!!

Its like being a sexaholic, being given 3 Viagra pills and a 6 pack, locking a very willing super model in the next room and being give a window to look through, but to get through the door you have to walk naked and barefoot on broken glass, AIDS infested hypodermics needles, and crab infested crabs...you also have to walk past your grandmother and preast on the way in... trust me, you'll find a way to get in there and ride the b!tch, no matter what the conditions.

WTF? Are you smoking? Have you ever been down here the last few winters? Earlier this year in April it got to as low as -5 F for a whole week in the morning....and I rode to work that week....we didn't have any snow, but it was still cold.

Just last week it was 20 F in the morning with no sun, and 40 F in the evening.

Trust me....I know what cold is.

I am starting to use my snowboarding gloves this year. They are crazy warm but they lack some feel due to the size of them. Still worth it to keep the hands warm though.

Where I live it gets no warmer then 20 for 4-5 months without the windchill.... I could stand outside naked for a week... a week is easy.

The night I wrecked my 600 it was 28 degrees.

I used to ride around in that trash all the time, but after cold tires fuctup my 600, I decided its just not worth it.

Especially on a 1000 that will do a rolling burnout at 80mph in 3rd with cold wet tired.

Fuk that, I'll wait. I decided after saving one too many burnouts that 40 degrees is my cutoff.

^ you could be onto something there! Rolling burnouts at 80mph could be fun!! :icon_lol:

im sure they can, if you did it intentionally, but when youre just riding along and gently roll it on to pass a damn car, and you feel it slipping, no, thats not good.
