This is my first bike. I took the MSF course at Kirkwood a couple weeks ago and felt pretty comfortable on the 250. I've spent a few hours in one of the Rockwell Collins parking lots up here and intend on doing the same again tomorrow (and most of next week). I won't be on the freeway down to Iowa City for awhile. Riding the bike is easy enough, I just want to get on top of my stopping and swerving before I become an example for the rest of the forum. I'm working on filling up my bag of skill before my bag of luck runs out. I also have gear that I wear every time (which is more than 95% of the riders up here can say).

In other news, I got a quote for full coverage on my '06 600RR from Country Financial/Insurance on Council St in CR. Get this: $176/year FULL COVERAGE. GEICO quoted me $2300, and progressive $2400. Even State Farm was like $1800/year. The company is an A+ rated company that has been around forever so it's not like I just gave some money to a stranger. I had to insure my car with them too, which was also the most inexpensive quote I received (about $1100/year).

Anyway, I want to get some more miles on the bike before I venture out (I pm'ed ATown a few weeks ago). I'd be great to meet up later in the summer though.

I've seen your bikes around campus even the new orange tribal Murdoc426. I'm not the only orange tribal anymore. I know this is late for this one but let me know when your going on another ride. Have you guys seen that yellow 1000RR around town. Wonder if he is on here.

There are 3 tribal's in CR. 1 that just sold at McGrath Powersports (12,000 miles, tons of extras, light body damage, $7599), mine that I bought in Illinois and trailered over (800 miles, bone stock (soon to change)), and one more that I've seen riding around (probably you).

I haven't seen the yellow one. But I do know of two different black '03/'04 600's that are unbadged. I wonder what kind of looks TWO tribal's would get...

ATown, why are you selling? Did your situation change? We've waited all winter for weather like this...on the upside, you'll get a great price this time of year...

I'm going down to Iowa City tomorrow to meet up with a girl I just met who has a Ninja.

Yeah, I have to take care of a few things first plus i'm on high risk so my insurance for the beast is rediculous.
Chick with a Ninja? Tessa?!

Sad to hear you have to sell man. iIsn't your bike a street fighter right now are you selling it that way.

Murdoc426 I meant in Iowa City. It is a popular color though love it or hate it. Is that the girl on the blue ninja?

No its in full fairings now.
This girl has a black ninja. She works like 14 hours a day between 2 jobs so she doesn't ride much. We have done a few this week though. Put on over 130 miles today riding through the country (Black Diamond Rd, Sharon Center Rd), and the up through Sugar Bottom and around the reservoir. The ride back to CR on the freeway was pretty great with the lightning on the horizon.

For Iowa, I think I've found some pretty good areas. Any other noteworthy runs in the IC area?

not much really, getting out of town is nice just out by the res. and stuff like that. All of the idiots just cruise around town so don't ride with them.. HA otherwise once you get out in amana going outside of it by marengo has some good roads. Nothin much, I honestly used to just go up to CR and ride the roads up there. yeah, chick on the black ninja is probably Tessa, shes pretty cool. I haven't seen her in forever though, however i sold the bike today, so I probably wont ever see her.
