why can't it be over 1A?NewRedRider said:You need to verify the amperage is not over 1amp. I bought a charger from Advance Auto parts for $13 and it works great. The 2 most important features to look for is the amperage and whether it has a built in regulator so it won't overcharge the battery no matter how long you leave it on the battery.
I recommend a 1amp because the SM specs a 0.9amp charger. But good luck finding a 0.9amp charger. I think a 1.5amp charger would be fine.MeltdOwn350 said:why can't it be over 1A?
my craftsman one is 1.5A and worked just fine on my ninja 250 battery last winter
thanks
And that's all good and what not, however, the battery in the EX250 is quite a bit larger than that of the CBR600RR... The 250's battery is nearly twice the physical size of the CBR's...MeltdOwn350 said:why can't it be over 1A?

Well I know when I first bought one I called the company to make sure the one I bought was what I needed... I mean it works great, hook it up, plug it in and forget aobut it till next season... Nothing more to do.MeltdOwn350 said:yeah, i've been taking my bike apart to get it cleaned up and ready for storage
i did look at the battery tonight and i guess it does state on there .9A, even the one visitor Q mentioned by battery tender is 1.5A.
the one i have does monitor the battery, so i should be just fine
as for the physical size, i honestly don't remember my 250 battery being that much larger... but it's not like it matters anyhow
