1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and this sucker is pulling hard.

I don't remember the RR being so torque-ky (sp?). Those who upgraded from the '03-'04 to a '05-'06 notice a huge difference in low-end torque?

I look down at the chain and it says 525 DID on all the links. Is that stock?

Is it? K, cuz on the '03-'04 it didn't say DID 525 on all the links. As a matter of fact, I don't even recall it specifying that on the chain.

nope, no markings i could read. That's what you get for smoking crack kiddies... lol!

but the chain IS 525 stock, that i know.

you must have a replacement chain. how is the bike geared?

means 43 teeth, which is stock for the rear.

the front stock is 16.

when you're cruising @ 60MPH, you should be at about 5500 RPMs. that would indicate a stock setup.

Awesome! Thx.

So, I guess it's just me or they REALLY improved on the low-end for the '05-'06 RR cuz man that sucker was pulling real hard.

Okay, let me ask you this, what's your rpm when you're crusing at 45 on 3rd gear?

45? donno. Speedo is off and i just guess my speed. At that speed i vary my gear selection A LOT.

at 60 however, it should be ~5500 in 6th gear.

Seriously man, I don't.

If you haven't noticed by now, I don't participate in gearing and suspension threads but I just don't know enough about them. I don't really mess around with them....haha

Ya dude, when i picked up my 05 after selling the 03 I noticed a HUGE gain in low end and even midrange power. I thought i might have been riding an o3 with a weak ass motor the whole time but my buddies o3 was the same way. That remapped ECU in o5 did wonders bringing the meat of the powerband down to lower RPMs ...

I know my buddy's 05 rr was always more torque-ky than my 03'...he could do sit downs in second without clutching where as Im -1 and I still cant do a sit down in 2nd without slipping the clutch.
