hey guys i bought a kbc vr-2 helmet about three months ago and loved it. but its life ended this weekend as i dropped it walking down a pier. it bounced of the floor twice then right into the drink... i almost cried (i held it back by cursing at the top of my lungs in front of a lot of co-workers)!!! well when i got home and told my wife she said thats horrible and said i could get a new helmet and she would pay for it. sweet huh? so i went to my local bike shop and found the sweetest helmet ARAI makes IMHO. this is one bad boy it is very close to the rx7 design but it is the rapide-sr. looks close but more vents while staying very quite. just got back from a day ride and man was it sweet. pluss you cant beat teh price on arai helmets in japan. new helmet was less than 380$. okay here is a pic and a link to the arai japan site. take it easy guys.

yes they do but thats why this is the japanese only version. this helmet has all the awesome features of the rx7 rr with less road noise. the helmet design is only available to the japanese market. all the other ones are no where near as nice. just a good combination from arai in my opinion. sweet helmet + nice graphix = sweeeeeeeeet!!!

yup................

heres a write up i did on how to install them the right way

here is what you will need. The tear offs i'm using are the ones the Arai sponsored riders get

Step one:

put the tear off on the shield and fold the pull tab foward.

Step 2:

Cut off pull tab hole (thry frey in the wind if you don't)

Step 3:

Cut a peice of tape and fold/place on spot you cut off

Step 4:

Cut bottom part of tab at angle then tuck it under the tear off post (you will see why in a sec)

Step 5:

Put next tear off on sheild

Step 6:

Cut off pull tab hole and put on your folded tape.

You are all done. When you pull the top one the wind catches the one cut at an angle and pops it out..
