I went and picked it up at 5 this evening. Got about 8 miles in before it was too cold to ride for the night. I've been poking around the boards for a few months now and picked up some great info. Yall were right, red is the fastest color . I hope to be more of an active member now that I'm riding also. Thanks!

I'm from New Orleans. I have been using JAY4SPEED as my screenname on all the forums I frequent for several years now, we have probably run into one another before...

One thing that pissed me off though. I got the bike from the dealership, went down the street about 400 yards from the dealer to meet up with my buddy who has an R6. When I arrived my buddy comes out as well as some other people to check out the new bike. I goto crank it up to show them how it sounds and the battery barely has enough juice to spin the engine over 2 times before it died. I felt like an ass, brand new bike and now it wont start in front of several people. After an angry phonecall to my salesman, {good friend of mine is the parts manager at the Honda dealer, so I couldn't get too nasty with him}, they suggested I push start it and ride for a while to get the battery charged back up. {i know about running over 5K rpms to charge the battery}. It started normally after the ride we took, just didn't have enough juice the first time. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope it starts tomorrow with no troubles.

Yeah just make sure you kill the power while it's not running. Don't let it sit with the lights on.

I should have thought to say that last night. "I'd rather push a RR then ride an R6"....LoL, that would have been pretty funny.

Went out this morning and it started just fine. The battery just needed a charge on it.
