Im getting ready to add on the part I got for my bike. I wanted to know what air filter would be best for street use. I've heard BMC is good but its not made for street riding , then I've heard some ppl say K & N is the cheapest air filter quality. What air filter would u recomend for street riding?

This is the gains with a 1000RR stock vs BMC, the bike had a s/o, a zero map on the PCIII and flapper mod, so that 2.0hp is just filers, plu son th eblade they weight 54% less than the stock ones.

I cant imagine the 600 not gaining anything. and the BMC id lighter than the OE filter on the 600RR also.

If ur worried about losing half the weight of a stock filter, take a crap before u ride and U have lost more then half the weight of the stock filter. Unless u really need to change filters don't do it. If ur stock filter is dirty fine, replacing it to replace it is alot of work for nothing. Your not going to feel teh change in HP if there is any and a 1000cc bike is going to gain more HP from the filter then a 600 would. From the pic of your bike it looks like your more bling then racing anyways.

my turd id say is good for about 3lbs average. Now half lb there, the flapper system is another pound, dont got a slip on so thats prolly bout 5- 10lbs lost, that sa lot of weight off the bike already
thats 5 + 1 + 0.5 + 3 = 8.6lbs thats the kind of weight manufacturers go nuts about man, plus im being conservative.

hell if i ride in squid mode with no leathers, thats even more weight off the bike... thats only bettering my power to weight ratio man. :icon_lol:

+1. I have a full Arata system and a PCIII and still went with OEM. I would rather have the better filtering.

What were saying is don't pull it until it needs replacing.

If someone has a 600RR comparative (NOT A 1000RR) from Stock to BMC, that'd silence my skepticism of significant power gains on the 600RR like those found on the larger displacement 1000RR.

I say half a horse at best.

I meant to add I wouldn't change it unless it needed it.
