Given you have a bike that is still relatively new, what are the causes of relatively mild power loss?

Obvioulsy there is:

Non-lubed/maintained chains
Dirty air filters
Packing damage for CF slipons???
Overused oil/oil filter
Faulty spark plugs

Add everything you have experienced or heard about, so that this can be a checklist for people to go through before they have to (hopefully not) resort to the inspection of more vital functions/parts of the bike.

I've had issues with crappy fuel before, that caused major loss oomph.

I filled up, within 5 miles the bike would just die, then pick up again, then die again. was the worst ride home ever. got that fuel out, filled at a reputable station & everything was fine.

Just shows that you have to be careful where you fill up

High humidity/lots of moisture in the air (rain) will cause power loss as well

Yeah obviously getting fat is the culprit. Maybe a stuffed crust pizza causes a loss of 3HP?
Thanks for all the feedback guys, if anyone remembers anything else feel free to add it.

So you are not concerned about losing 5HP then? Or are you going to counter it with a special sticker we don't know about?
