If the 'Y' bike was anything to ride they would have the cohones to race Superbike. Instead they (and now Kawasaki) are chickens and choose to run their 'Top bike' where Honda doesn't. :bitchslap:

They figured no one else was going to focus on Superstock and they could walk away with it. Instead they will compete with Factory Kawasaki and Ben Spies on a full-factory Suzuki.

Who needs it! AMAs new class structure with 2 liter-bike classes only means we won't see all the top bikes in one class. I for one continue to look at Superstock as a support class filled with bikes and riders not quite worthy of competing in Superbike  (Spies got hosed).

SO I see you haven't done your homework on why the factories have chosen superstock.
I guess (using your logic) Ducati is the ltimate machine since they will supprt AMA, World and MotoGP.

Superstock bikes are way way way closer to stock. If Honda doesn't want to race superstock (either class) it says that there bike makes for a nice superbike platform, but as a performance bikes for consumers.

It's "cojones". In college for intramural sports my team was always Company Jones so that when they shortened the name for the scoreboard it read CoJones. lol

The RC-51 is a great platform, but out of the box, it is lacking. Hondo would be out of its mind to race it in SuperStock. However, in superbike, where it can be massaged, the RC is incredible.

By entering SuperStock, a manufacturer is racing a bike much closer to what you can buy on the showroom floor. Racing SuperStock places faith in the "Stock" product. Not in what HRC is capable of doing.
