seriously, when the average joe(myself) goes lookin for a bike.. i tend to find one that looks good and is appealing. remember 2-3 years ago when people asked.. which bike should i get? and people used to answer.. "all the 600cc bikes are about the same, get the one that appeals to you most"

i have yet to check the specs, analyze the 07.. i'm still enjoying my 04.

No one wants to ride something that looks like [email protected]#t no matter how well performs! Honda dropped the ball big time on this one and they will see when the sales drop. Reading the opinions on this board and I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way!
+1, big time, the fact is most people will buy a bike on looks alone, that equals sales. But mine looks awesome although a 2003 and does nice twistys. I DO NOT do track days but would not drive that abortion around the track or around town for that matter.

I'm pretty sure the only ones complaining about the bike on this forum are the guys who don't do trackdays. Just the guys who upgrade thier bikes for looks and wheelie/stunna/I'm faster than you functionality.

Face it the new bike was designed to be a RACE REPLICA (RR) not a LAMER (LOOK AT MY EGO REPLICA)
Then where is the slipper clutch? I could care less about the looks. I want the same performance options that EVERY other manufacturer has this year - and last year for that matter. I need a SuperSport race bike that can compete with mostly stock parts. An aftermarket clutch makes the bike SuperSport illegal - at least in my race organization.

* I will admit though that my '03RR has taken TONS of abuse with ZERO problems. Never a single mechanical - so there is definitely something to be said about that.

Honestly, I think everyone who's complaining about the looks of the bike should go take their skirts off and put on some pants. Should we put some decals of flowers and butterflies and sell it in pink for you? Geez. What? Do you go into showrooms and pick out a vehicle based on color or looks? I love this comment:

I nevever rode one but boy they do look sweet.

That's the funniest thing I ever heard. All the ranting I hear, it almost sounds like Honda needed to create a 600RRR. We're not going from an F4i to an RR again. There's no need to go through a radical re-design when the original wasn't all that bad. I mean Yamaha HAD to step it up big time to redefine the class.

Honda just had to make a couple of small steps and I can guarantee that Honda will have a winner on its hands in not just performance, but even in style and looks. Why? Because it's ALL FUNCTIONALLY beautiful. There, now, go stick a rose on that and call it purty.

That's just my opinion...:icon_salu
+1 on that Snoop! I love new RR... people judging just on looks alone... i think its looks awesome, an RR on a diet, lets face it folks all that fairing that were all used to, is no longer the trend...
and to those of you who are compaining about not having a slipper clutch, how many of you have used a slipper clutch on the street? Like most of the market, alot of these bikes will not hit the track.

Never heard of HISS meaning that, I have HISS on my bike. (European/Japan speced). Its a nice feature.

Honda Ignition Security System (H.I.S.S.)
Its an anti-theft feature but only offered on non-US speced bikes. Hopefully it will be a new feature on ALL new 07 RRs.

While I am not saying its the most beautifiul bike ever made, I do like it. I am telling you guys wait until you see more pics. Publicity shots are never very good, first hand photos will be more telling and accurate. As far as the new RR being aimed more for racing and hence its looks. They wanted to stay competive and I guess a radical make over was need. Its different, but I can't really think of another way they could have went. Its growing on me.

I bought my Honda based on reputation and reliability. I'm bias b/c I drive nothing but Honda's. I think subconsciously, they look better for those very same reasons. I personally like the aesthetics of the 07, but I'm really anxious to see what the fender eliminators look like and what they'll cost. Like RC211v said, Damn you Honda!!!! Now I want one.
