Hey guys, just curious is this is typical. It just seems that my new 600RR accelerates pretty slowly in first gear up to about 5500-6000 RPMs, after that is really jumps. When I wrap it from a slow roll, I just expected it to accelerate faster right away. Any thoughts would be great. I know the dual stage fuel injection doesn't kick in unitl about 5500 RPMs, but I don't think that has much to do with this. Any feedback is welcomed.

Yes our bike had dual stage fuel injection. It's a very good thing. :D

Even if you just nail it without clutching you'll get up to mid-high rpm's pretty darn quick if you're in 1st or 2nd. Most of the competition will do the same and you'll just walk on them.....especially once your speed shifting at 15k....

yeah...kinda strange though when its fresh off the show room floor it accelerates nicely at the very low rpm's, but once broken in, have to launch it at 5 or so to get off the line at a decent pace.

Or you could just roll it from very low at full throttle and ride out the guarenteed wheelie =)

I've only got 450 miles on mine. Am I gonna notice more power at a certain point? I did the modern break in of easy for 1 tank of gas and then all out after that....
