whats up everyone, my names steve and i just got an 06 600rr, i got a great deal on it and im very pleased with it, its got a yoshi exhaust, i dont know anything about bikes besides how to ride them, it has 7500 miles on it and i dont know what schould be checked or what i schould do, i dont have an owners manual so i dont really know much about my bike, any pointers would be greatly appreciated, heres a few pics.....

You need at least one mirror installed in VA and NY to pass periodic inspection.

Was an oil change performed prior to your delivery? if not, do so.

I assume it's got an integrated tail light signal?

Yeah defininte oil change time, just in case. Might check and see if you want to upgrade the filters(airbox/oil) to K&N's or something.

ya im working on the mirror thing at the moment i really dont like not having mirrors, i dont have a light out, thats the low beam.......how hard is it to change the oil for someone whoe doesnt know much besides where the filter is and how to check the oil??

simple............ read the manual. It actually tells you how to change your oil, how much to use and what type of oil and filter should be used. Once you do change your oil, in the manual there's a log section. Jot down the type of oil you used and the date you did it.

Oh and btw, pretty bike! Good for you, you bought the fast color! Woo Hoo!

#2 Clean and lube the chain
#3 Tighten all bolts
#4 Take those damn stickers off the swingarm.

Cahne the oil guy could have lied to you about changing it just to sell the bike, as stated before get some mirrors, a good pair of frame sliders because you neever know what can happen.... BUUT before you even do anything like that buy some good gear perf leather, armor gloves and boots that go over the ankles, because road rash sucks

Check Egay or the dealer for the owner's manual. That rear tire looks squared off so I'd be saving money for a fresh set of tires ASAP unless my eyes are fooling me.

the tire seem relatively new, feels round, looks round, idk ill have someone else check it out with alittle more of an experienced eye, didnt even realize the bar end wasnt there lol.....

nice bike. you got the fastest color. i even have my base decal in the same spot.
almost thought that was my bike pic for a second. lol

everyone so far has stated the obvious and given the recommendations.
so i wont even go there. well i will for the tires. i see a PP rear and a Dunlop 218
front. just take it easy with that combo. or any combo...especially with the cold months near.
youll get by with commuting during the winter. but come spring...get yourself
some fresh, grippy matching tires. youll love your bike more for doing so!

whats with the tires?? are they just a general purpose tire or something??? seems like they are the originial tires cause on that sticker on the swingarm they say dunlop in the front and michelin in the back or vis versa(cant remember off the top of my head) or they were just replaced with stockers......with a grippier tire i take it as i will be replacing them more often?? and how many teeth are on the stock rear sproket?? im trying to figure out what all was done to this bike and just trying to eliminate some more possible obv mods, it has 43t but idk what is stock......
