Hi all,

my wonderful wife got me a toce exhaust for Christmas. Will I need a tune for it to work properly?

I currently have a stock 2016 cbr 600rr

You'll need earplugs but no tune required since it all this is doing is making your bike much, much louder.

Toce offers a tune (you mail them your ECU) which they claim:

"Results in cooler fan temp settings, reduced engine braking, and unrestricting other factory settings, you'll experience smoother drivability, and more power."

The alleged power gain is north of 12k rpm. A real cop magnet.

I'm getting that same exhaust, love the look and sound of it! A tune is not required. As stated by Bat-1, Toce offers a tune, and if you do the tune at the same time the exhaust is purchased they also offer a discount so if you decide to go with a Toce tune I'd contact them and ask if you can get the discount after purchase since it was purchased as a gift. Without adding a high flow air filter, you're not going to see much gain even with the tune.
I'm planning to get a high flow air filter and a tune, although I haven't decided on a Toce tune or taking it to a race shop that will dyno and tune my bike specifically for the performance I want.
