Cost me 20 bucks at a locksmith to get a new key made, but I didn't have a spare- took the whole ignition cylinder down to him, he got the code off of that and made me a key. So probably cheaper, but any locksmith should be able to do it for you.

Hey everyone, just have a key question.
Does anyone know what it cost to have a dealer get a replacement key ?
Or am I better off to buy a key BLANK off EBay and have a copy made ?
I was out installing my new EBC HH brake pads today, and I either misplaced my key or my VERY mischievious cat is playing games with me again.
I have the spare, but would hate like hell not to have a backup...

Go to your dealer, buy a key blank take the blank to a locksmith and have it cut. Should be less than $20 for the whole thing.

What are you talking about? You'll need the orignal key for the locksmith to cut the blank.
If you have the backup key just go to Honda and buy a blank and have like Home Depot or something cut it out for you using your backup key as the template.
I got one made at the honda dealer using my key code but it didnt work, they where using some old school cutter that had to be set by hand. I just went to a lock smith gave them my key code and they cut me a key, it cost me $15 cnd
